Nylon, Orlon, Dacron, and rayon are synthetic polymers. Are these polymers
1-elastomers
2- rubber
3- plastics

They sound like polymers to me. Most plastics are polymers.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex

well Id have to agree with mitch rubber and plastics are all generally as far as I know polymers. But keep in mind many other things are also often polymers (biopolymers) such as your skin and vegetables. The first one I have never heard of but I managed to run a search on them and found that they are polymers too .well what do ya know You learn something every day ,I geuss the answer was right under my nose ,elastic elastomers.
Oh by the way heres a site on elastomers

Plastics and elastomers are polymers. Another polymer to consider is polyurethanes. I assist in the engineering, operation and production of pre-polymer systems. Which is very interesting I must say. We react diisocyanates and polyols to form these systems.

Urethane elastomers are made from prepolymers and curatives and there physical properties are the result of their components.
ex.- polyols make up the soft segment, and isocyanates and curatives make up the hard segment.
