quick q about recrystallisation method
« on: August 07, 2013, 04:59:17 AM »
Hi all,

Just wondering, when people read in an article "Pure crystals were obtained by slow diffusion" should it be interpreted as vapour diffusion (vial with solution inside larger container with solvent which compound is not soluble in) or as diffusion (running solution down the side of a vial etc)? Thanks

I would interpret that as vapour diffusion.
