How to remove COD

We have spent acid that contain 80 % sulfuric acid, 15-20 % water and 1 % p-Chlorobenzenesulfonic acid. Its COD is nearly 36000 ppm. I want to reduce the COD below 2000 ppm. We have a party willing to take the spent but the condition is COD should be below 2000 ppm.

Any suggestions.

What will you do after the COD is reduced? 80% spent acid even without COD is not exactly ripe for disposal.

May I ask what COD stands for?
Development Chemists do it on Scale, Research Chemists just do it!

May I ask what COD stands for?

Chemical Oxygen Demand see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chemical_oxygen_demand it is essential a measure of how much combined organic material is in the waste stream

Use a multi effect evaporator, I guess.
