Redox reaction

Hello everyone!

In this exercise I am given that dinitrogen monoxide (N2O), when dissolved in water, forms nitric acid (HNO3) and nitrous acid (HNO2), and I am asked to write the balanced redox equations, and which elements are being reduced and which ones are being oxidized.

I don't know how to do it because in the other exercises I have done they give you two elements that react, not just one. Any help? Thank you very much!

Perhaps it reacts with atmospheric oxygen. At least it is trivial to balance such reactions.

Are you sure do you mean N2O and not NO2.. In second case you can consider that nitrogen works as oxidieser and reducer. Check oxidation numbers in the two acids and NO2. N2O will not work in my opinion.
