I need help writing double displacement reactions
« on: April 17, 2014, 02:20:14 AM »
I have a lab to do and I'm stuck on a question.
You can read the lab here: http://zushma.com/images/Murder_Investigation_Molarity_Lab.pdf
the question is: Write and Balance all 5 chemical equations. (Hint: they are all double displacement reactions)
I have 5 acids to use hydrochloric acid, hydrobromic acid, hydroiodinic acid, hydroastatic acid, and hydrofluoric acid.
I'm not quite sure how to write the equations but i have no problem balancing them out. I would appreciate it someone could help me and thank you in advance.

Well, that's a cute PDF story based on the board game Clue -- although I now have the '70's movie stuck in my head thanks a lot ;D  OK  For starters, begin to digest your story into chemical reagents and list them for us here.  I also don't see where you get the list of acids from.
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.

Thanks for trying to help Arkcon but I put the wrong PDF up. :-\ hahaha
We went into class and we were allowed to ask questions about the lab before we started. So i asked about the question and she helped me understand it.
