Determination of cis-trans isomers

How can I separate cis-trans isomers of complexes?

What complex exactly? I think you can use chromatography but it might be better to try synthetise just the one isomer you want because some complexes can decompose on column

The complexes are organometallic. I have organic ligands with iron (III). You mean TLC chromatography? The issue its that i have them in the mixture and i wanna try to seperate them.

Try crystallisation.
Development Chemists do it on Scale, Research Chemists just do it!

By chromatography, I think he means running a column for filtration.
