How is metoprolol made?
« on: October 31, 2014, 04:29:03 AM »
Hi,

As part of my master's thesis I have to find out how the β-blocker metoprolol, marketed as Lopressor by Novartis and Betaloc by AstraZeneca, is made commercially. I have searched for patents and looked through everything on Novartis' and AstraZeneca's websites, but can't find anything. Does anyone have any idea where I can find this sort of information?
