enzymes for deinking
« on: November 22, 2014, 10:22:46 AM »
Hello,

For enzymology we must give a short presentation about the uses of enzymes in industry. I have to search some information about deinking. Can anybody please link me some good information about this subject? I need to know what exact enzymes are used in the deinking process (with their enzyme commission numbers) and what their function is. The problem is that I find a lot of different information, so I'm a little bit confused.

Thanks in advance!

What information have you found?   I'm not aware of any enzymes that specifically attack inks.
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.

I found information about lipase, laccase, cellulases and xylanases, but I don't know what their exact function in the process of deinking is.
