Sodium tartarate dihydrate
« on: December 07, 2014, 12:47:33 PM »
At Karl Fischer Titration I want to use sodium-tartarate dihydrate as standard material. Working medium is methanol mostly. I want to standardisation of volumetric solution (Hydranal Composite 2). Sodium tartarate dihydrate is good for this? Maybe it is easiest to handle than liquid standard. Do you have experience about it?

Generally a requirement for a day's use, or for the current analyss, depending on your needs for standardization rigor.

Seems like it would be better.  I used to standardize with 0.1 mL of H2O.  That was a little tricky to get right sometimes.
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.
