What is steric gearing?
« on: December 27, 2014, 01:59:36 PM »
Hi guys,

Often in organometallic literature, the term "steric gearing" or "gearing" is used. Does anyone know what that means? I think they are referring to the ligands on the metal. Is it just parts of the ligand bumping into each other?
