Need *delete me* Ions

Ok an ion is basically when you combine a metal with a non metal right?
So what are metal ions? Like Al3+? They do not have any non-metals in it.

No, that statement is incorrect.

Yes, that is correct.

And that's why the first statement is incorrect.  Your job now, given that the Forum Rules{click} suggest that you should show us some work, is to try to figure out how you came up with the first statement, which was the source of all your confusion.  You should look for other mistakes of yours in that part of your homework or class notes.

Search about Ions .
by the way metal as well as non-metals can form ions.
