non-enzymatic lactate oxidation
« on: January 22, 2015, 05:50:27 AM »
Hi Everyone,

I have got a problem regarding lactate chemistry:

Would it be possible for lactate to be oxidized non-enzymatically? Could lactate in solution (100mM / dH2O) be oxidized to pyruvate at 4C? (over a period over a few days...)

Thanks for your help,
Cheers, Rob
