Is it possible to recrystallize it? I found a bottle in the freezer and I am not sure about it's purity. (looks really orange) ;]

Definitely, from what I recall you can regenerate it from hydrazine (could be wrong, please check in Perrin and Ameregno or similar). Or why not try your reaction on a small scale first, it may still be OK
