How to determine if N is sp2 hybridized in a molecule?
« on: April 20, 2015, 12:29:05 PM »
I have this giant molecule shown here.
Until now, I thought nitrogen would be sp2 hybridized whenever it is in a ring or attached to an sp2 carbon. According to this, all nitrogens should be sp2. But the answer says there are only 3 sp2 hybridized N in this molecule. Can anyone help me how to tell if N is sp2 hybridized?
