Friedel-Crafts acylation of BOC-aniline
« on: May 10, 2015, 10:29:50 AM »
Should be reactive towards acylation, but am concerned the LA catalyst as well as the liberated acid would deprotect the amine (and then quench the reaction).

Is there a particular PG and/or mild LA combination that works for anilines?

10 mol% Ga(OTf)3, MeNO2 LiClO4 Adv. Synth. Catal. 2001, 343, No. 1

I have not tried it yet, I'm waiting on reagents.
