Practical Help - derivatize ammonia
« on: May 20, 2015, 10:11:24 AM »
Hi,
i am using a spectroscopic technique and i need to derivattize ammonia into monochloroamine for the process.

my practical skills are not very good at all so I am seeking some help/instructions from much more experienced chemists.

i have done serial dilution of ammonia solution into various concentrations. Now i need to do the reaction for each in a systematic and controlled manner.

Can anyone walk me through - in the simplest erms - the practical steps required for me to do this?

thanks so much for readng,
rob
