Hello,

I'm analyzing my crude and epoxidized rubber seed oil with H-NMR. I cannot find all the explanations for the peaks. Can somebody help me? The oil consists of palmitic acid, linoleic acid, oleic acid, stearic acid and arachidic acid. I'm not sure if my results beneath are right or not.

This is for the crude oil:
δ (ppm)            Structure
0,866 -> 0,903    Terminal –CH3
0,960 -> 0,990    Terminal –CH3
1,256 -> 1,385    -(CH2)n-
1,610
1,992 -> 2,091
2,294 -> 2,359    α-CH2-(C=O)-O-
2,756 -> 2,817
4,127 -> 4,163
4,280 -> 4,312
5,255 -> 5,406    -CH- protons of double bonds

This is for the epoxidized oil:
δ (ppm)             Structure
0,867 -> 0,904
1,036 -> 1,085
1,254
1,279 -> 1,284
1,33
1,397 -> 1,415
1,494
1,548 -> 1,608
1,714 -> 1,813    -CH2 adjacent to 2 epoxy groups
2,310 -> 2,313    -CH2 adjacent to 2 epoxy groups
2,897 -> 2,976    -CH- epoxy ring
3,056 -> 3,191    -CH- epoxy ring
4,120 -> 4,164
4,277 -> 4,309
5,249 -> 5,258
