Help for dilutions

HI everyone
I have stock solution 0f 5M HCl how many ml should i take for it to make (i)0.005 moles of hcl in 2.5 ml and 0.005 moles in 5 ml.Please help me out with this

Please define for us molar, the definition will tell you what math to do.  Bit of trivia for you:  5 M is 5 molar.  But 5m is 5 molal, which is different.

Good.  You have 5 moles in 1 liter.  You want much less.  How will you do it?

Start with a simpler question.  Say you water 1 molar, that's just one fifth.  The math is the same.

Yes , one hint convert this by factor 1000 to mol/ml. What happend to the 5 moles
