asymmetric reduction of alphaketo acid
« on: February 08, 2016, 04:36:38 PM »
Does anyone have a good review of the Corey-Bakshi-Shibata reaction?  I am having trouble finding a review that includes the alpha-ketoacids.  I have found a paper (see attached) that details the use of Ipc2BH as a stereoselective reductant giving 77% ee.

The compound I am trying to do reduce is alpha-ketoglutarate.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Cheers!!
If you're not part of the solution, then you're part of the precipitate
