4500-NO3 - E. Cadmium Reduction Method
« on: February 15, 2016, 05:01:38 PM »
Good afternoon,

I am an environmental analyst for water quality and have quite a few questions regarding the copper-cadmium reduction of nitrate.

When comparing a known standard of NO3 to a known standard of NO2 at the same concentration, we are unable to obtain a spec readout of 0.5 ppm for a commercially available Nitrite standard. Our dilutions are correct per suppliers tech chemist, but the spec readout is way too low.

This is throwing our column efficiency off every time, while we suspect the columns to be fine and efficiently reducing nitrate to nitrite.

Any help/input on this method would be greatly appreciated.

Feel free to e-mail me direct. Thank you.
