resuspension of functionalized graphene
« on: April 27, 2016, 02:48:43 PM »
Hi. I'm trying to synthesize graphene and hemin-functionalized graphene using graphene oxide (prepared by Hummer's method) then reduction using hydrazine. The difference in the procedure would be the addition of hemin on the latter. The particles were purified by centrifugation and allowed to dry to get the weight and subsequently, the concentration upon resuspension in water. But the particles seemed to have coagulated and cannot be resuspended even after 3 hrs of sonication. It's stated in related studies that resuspension should be easily done. So I'm looking at two means of solving the problem - by using other methods of drying and other means to get the concentration aside from the weight. Share your thoughts.
