Copper absorption in glass
« on: April 30, 2016, 05:55:48 PM »
I'm not sure this is the right subsection to post this but since I'm studying inorganic chemistry, I'm hust going to put it here:
Is there any chance that some form of copper in glass (ion exchanged) could have an absorption peak at about 400 to 430 nm? It's a standard soda lime glass.

If the soda lime for manufacturing was contaminated with some copper. Does the glass have a greenish color?
