Okay, so from my understanding, a molecule is more likely to undergo solvolysis depending on how many resonance structures will form.

I got b, a, c, d, but that isn't correct. i even tried d, c, a, b, but tht was wrong as well.

Okay, so from my understanding, a molecule is more likely to undergo solvolysis depending on how many resonance structures will form.

One, we may have to assume that the reactions are all happening by the same mechanism in this question.  Two, I would not say that it is the number of resonance structures but rather the stability of the intermediate that is critical.  However, the two issues (stability and the number of resonance structures) are related.
