reaction mechanism for coordination complex
« on: June 10, 2016, 08:26:01 AM »
Hi everyone

I am having trouble writing the chemical reaction mechanism for the synthesis of the coordination complex [trans-FeCl2(imidazole)4]Cl•THF•H2O. I start with a solution of FeCl3 in THF and add Imidazole. To this solution I add 2,2-dimethyl propane-1,3-diol which leads to the [trans-FeCl2(imidazole)4]Cl•THF•H2O.

Any help will be much appreciated, thankyou.
