Hi all,

I was wondering about standardising potassium permanganate 0.02M with sodium thiosulphate 0.1M.

I'm using an E.P method but it doesn't provide any calculations.

does anyone know of a good source for a calculation to determine to factor please?

Thanks in advance  >:D >:D >:D

Update:

I found this which is the same titration as what E.P states however where is this weight of sodium oxalate derived from?
Could it be a spelling error etc?  ???

STANDARDISATION:
To 20.0ml of Potassium Permanganate Solution. Add 2g of Potassium Iodide and 10ml of dilute
Sulfuric Acid.
Titrate with 0.1M Sodium Thiosulfate, using 1 ml of Starch Solution added towards the end of
titration. Standardise immediately before use.

Factor = Weight of Sodium Oxalate (mg)
                             T x 67.0
