for my next investigation i am hopefully going to investigate in depth the amount of rust formed in different solutions.Form past experiments I have found that rust can be easily removed from an iron nail by spinningit around in a centrifugal action.however do you think I will need a centrifuge for future experiments when I leave the tests for an alot longer time.

you might not need it, rust precipitates easily enough?
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.

yeah but what i  mentioned was only the tip of the iceberg.i was considering testing over a very large timespan that Will most probably need a centrifuge for optimum results and if i didn't use one it would take most of the fun out of the investigation.alos I am thinking of also testing other substances.

if you just pass the solution through filter paper it would still achieve the same goal though.

yes I allready know that but before that you will often need to remove rust or corrosion present on the metal.
