How to prevent the fertilizer from absorbing moisture
« on: January 23, 2017, 02:27:46 PM »
Hellow, im from Ecuador and i hope you can understand my english, I dont know if this is the correct forum either

I am formulating a fertilizer but this gets wet and compacts quickly that is due to the urea which is in powder and is hygroscopic I hope I can give you ideas of how to solve it please  :'(.

I can not use a larger particle size because it would be difficult to homogenize with the rest of the components, in addition the fertilizer contains MKP, magnesium sulfate heptahydrate, potassium sulfate and MAP which are compatible with each other.

Help me please.

Have you seen osmocote granules? This allows to overcome hygroscopicity together with a slow release of nutrients.
