Could Hydrogen couple to Bromine?
« on: February 16, 2017, 07:08:21 PM »
For a compound like trisbromomethyl benzene, do we expect the CH2 hydrogens to couple to bromine in the H NMR? Or are we expecting singlets? Would a chemical shift greater than 4 ppm be considered normal for CH2Br?

You can find NMR of this compound through GOOGLE.
For most of your doubts you may see for NMR of a simpler compound  - benzylbromide.
