Hallo,
Please anyone help me.
I have to recrystallization my product that consist amino acid. How to seperate my product from amino acid? I have tried any solvent but nothing do work.

I have synthesiszed inhibitor corrosion from salicylic aldehyde : tyrosine 1:2 . thats mean my still contain of tyrosine.

I have to recristallizasion my product. Could you suggest me the best solvent that i can choose?
 nb : i have tried ethanol, butanol, n hexane, ethyl acetate, acetone, diethyl eter, and chloroform but no one did work

Explain what "does not work" means - is the problem that you get no crystals, or that the precipitate is not pure? These are two very different problems.

What is the composition of the crude material (e.g. by NMR)?

The product do not dissolve in the solvent that i have tried

The excess tyrosine will probably not dissolve unless you add water. EtOH/water might be an option.

Why did you use 2 equivalents of tyrosine? If you mix the reagents in a 1:1 molar ratio, you should have quite pure crude material.

gentle acid LL extraction? Or just crashing it with acid in an organic solvent. you can protonate the pure tyrosine because the amine will be charged, but the tyrosine/salicaldehyde imine adduct wont protonate as easily.
