NOESY spectrum of two isomeric products
« on: March 19, 2017, 05:53:45 PM »
Can the NOESY spectrum of two isomeric products help me figure out which hydrogen of either isomer is responsible for a particular signal in the H NMR? Since there are 2 isomeric products, the NMR shows 2 similar signals and I'm not sure how to use the NOESY to determine which isomer is responsible for what signal.

It can work, but usually requires conformational restriction (e.g. cyclic molecule). Can you post the structures?
