Dry Ashing
« on: March 23, 2017, 09:04:03 PM »
Hi I'm doing a report on validating a method . One way we're doing the sample prep for this method is by dry ashing, in method given to us, we put in the sample in a silica gel crucible, and increase temperature by 50 degrees each hour until we reach 350 degrees and then stay at 350 degrees for 6 hours. For what reason am I slowly increasing the temperature? Any help would be much appreciated thanks.
