Chemistry Volunteer Work
« on: May 05, 2017, 12:48:40 PM »
Hello:
I'm looking for opportunities to do volunteer work as a chemist but I can't find anything. Does anyone know of any good sites to look at? I'm trying to get some experience.
Thank you

If you want to make the world a better place, and your local area a better place, you can give of yourself in any capacity, in any way that's needed, outside of your chemistry experience.

Heh.  I should take my own advice here, and I don't.

OK.  A couple of instances, I've heard of providing Science educational help for students.  ACS recently sent me an email on the topic, and in the state of New Jersey, there's Students to Science.  https://students2science.org/

I do get the vibe 'tho, that in these sorts of cases, they need money and donated equipment more than they need instructors.
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.
