Has Anyone Worked With Isoamyl Nitrite (liquid form)?
« on: June 25, 2017, 06:32:22 PM »
Hey Guys,

My wife is a p-chemist by training and not very familiar with organic synthesis. She's found herself in a position where she may have to work with isoamyl nitrite (liquid form).

Based on the information she's found - she thinks it needs to be handled and stored under nitrogen. Is that true? Can she work with it under ambient lab conditions (at a bench, in a hood, etc).

Thanks!

You can work under a hood and this is  a must. Don't breath the fumes. It rises the blood pressure.
