For the equation in chemical potential, activity if A would be equal to the ratio of vapour pressure of A to the vapour pressure of A in its pure state. However in equilibrium, the activity of A would be equal to the ratio of vapour pressure to the pressure under standard conditions(1 bar). Can anyone help to explain the inconsistencies?
