Aspen One: Two Stage Separation Of Crude Oil And Water.
« on: November 05, 2017, 11:35:51 PM »
Hi friends,

I am attempting to separate crude oil and pure water stream in a two stage separation ( each separator is a three phase horizontal separator) . For composing feed , I have considered mixing two streams ( pure water and other stream is stabilized crude stream). After simple simulation I observed that all water is knocked off in first stage itself ( and water is not having any oil content) which is not possible in real case scenario. As per real case scenario, first and second stage both should knock off water and water streams from both of these separators should have some oil content.

How can I make changes in Aspen One so that my simulation corresponds to real field situation.

Looking forward for your suggestions??

Regards,
