Christals of conservanse in water

I added 2 drops of conservanse Geogard 221 (INCI: Dehydroacetic acid, Benzyl alcohol) into 30 ml of distilled water. Asfterwards some tiny "fat buubles" began to emarge. Later those bubbles turned into some kind of small white particals (see attachment). Those particles look like christals under a microscope (see attachment). Is it something wrong with my conservance? Is that normal reaction? I tried water from other sources also, the same reaction.

have you checked if the final DHA concentration is not higher than its solubility in water?

I checked product datasheet:

I used 0,6% solution. Acording to datasheet it is soluble in water at low levels, but doesn't say what level that is. Do you think 0,6% is too much? It is alowed 1,15% in final product though...

you are probably crystallising dehydroacetic acid due to its low solubility in water. a quick check says its solubility is 0.1% in water at 25C. Try adding some acetone to keep it dissolved. Depending on what you are doing.
