I'm a teacher in Taiwan, and I want to do the Elephant Toothpaste experiment with my students.  I can easily get 35% H2O2 but I can't seem to find KI.  It's not available in drug stores as a disinfectant.  I found one place to buy Kent Marine Iodide for coral in aquariums.  https://www.kentmarine.com/products/kent-iodide.htm  Anyone know if this will work?

Have you looked at
ChemCenter Potassium Iodide, High Purity Crystals/Granules, 99.8% min., 100 grams (3.5 oz.)

I saw several other possibilities using GOOGLE

I'm betting that particular product won't work.  That seems to be a nutrient for plant growth, and may well be a different salt.  If it is the same, you'll be paying premium price, for a dilute solution, that may have other chemical in it.

You may be able to source the  reagent you need form a teacher supply store, but that can be pricey too.

You could buy it from a chemical supply store, but they may not sell it to you.  I figure you already know that, but I'm just trying to be complete.
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.

I can not say directly about the KENT MARINE IODIDE product which is on their website
But they also have seen posted elsewhere on the internet
Kent Marine Concentrated Iodine
which has
Chemical   CAS No / Unique ID   Percent
Iodine   007553-56-2   <10
Potassium iodide   007681-11-0   <10

I can not seem to connect the two products (only briefly tried)

--------------------
I got the feeling from the website for the product I posted before (ChemCenter)
based on the web page feedback for that product
That everyday people could get KI from them
I have not tried to attempt acquire this yet

-----------
I look forward to hearing about your results
As an aside

Hydrogen Peroxide solution is catalysed by Potassium Iodide - washing liquid (for foam) and food dye (for colour) make the whole thing more visible!
