Effect of pH on chemiluminescence

Hi
I've been studying this reaction of chemiluminescence
https://www.google.fr/search?biw=1600&bih=769&tbm=isch&sa=1&ei=oS4MW8_-J4G6UrHotIgG&q=mecanism+oxalyl+chloride+hydrogen+peroxide+chemiluminescence&oq=mecanism+oxalyl+chloride+hydrogen+peroxide+chemiluminescence&gs_l=img.3...13082.14921.0.15072.13.11.2.0.0.0.139.910.7j4.11.0....0...1c.1.64.img..4.0.0....0.Aj0_nmRd4xM#imgrc=DwTmX5M_MTFKVM:
with oxalyl chloride as the reagent.
Experimentally, I prepared serveral breakers of the starting solution with different pH (by adding NaOH).
I have observed that when ph increases, the time of luminescence increases.
I've read in books the same assessment but
I can't find any precise explications
of this.
Does the pH takes part in the expression of the reaction's speed ? Does it modify the starting molecules ?
If you have any answers to this observation, I would be glad to read them !
Thank you.
- Sorry if my English is not correct or if this topic isn't in the right part of the forum, I'm french and I'm not perfectly fluent in English -
