Pchem question need help
« on: October 28, 2018, 04:38:26 PM »
A sample containing 25g of Ar is enclosed in a container of volume 0.163L at 388K. Calculate P using the ideal gas, van der Waals, and Redlich-Kwong equations of state. Based on your results, does the attractive or repulsive contribution to the interaction potential dominate under these conditions? What are the implications of your findings?
For argon:
vdW: a=1.355L2.bar.mol-2
b=0.0320L.mol-1
R-K: a=16.86L2.bar.mol-2.K1/2
b=0.02219L.mol-1

First show your atempt. Calculate with all three equations the pressure. Compare the results.
