Title: Normality question on reacting units

When we have two bases Ca(OH)2 and NaOH, and we have an equal mass, we can find each compounds molarity. But what if we are supposed to find the normality of OH-? Because for calcium hydroxide, the number of reacting units per mole is 2 while for sodium hydroxide the number of reacting units per mole is 1. So even if I find my concentration of just the OH- ions, how do I set my reacting units? Would it just be set as 1 cos considering just the OH-, the number of reacting units for the base is 1?

Also if I had say NiSO4 and NiCl2, and if I were to be asked to find the normality of Ni2+, would it simply be 2?
