Title: pH Help?
Post by: SOS on March 17, 2011, 12:56:28 AM
If we have a concentration of H+ at 1 x 10-1.2 mol/L, what is the pH value?
-log1x10^-1.2M
Given a [pOH] = 1.2, what is the [OH-]?
10^-1.2
Given that the pH of a substance is 9.0, what is the [OH-]?
pH=9
pOH=5
10^-5=1x10^-5

If we are given an [OH-] of 1.00 x 10 –1 mol/L, what is the pOH?
-log(1.00x10^-1M)
If we have a concentration of H+ at 1 x 10-9 mol/L, what is the pH value?
-log(1x10^-9M)
Given that the pH of a substance is 0.5, what is the [OH-]?
pH=0.5
pOH=13.5
10^-13.5
Given that the pH of a substance is 12.5, what is the pOH?
14-12.5=1.5 is pOH

Am I correct in all of them? Did I mess up in any of these problems? If so, please explain how to correctly do it!

There seems to be no problem.
