Title: Information about Silicones?
Post by: ornitho on April 22, 2004, 11:04:11 PM
Hey all,
I am a Grade 11 chemistry student in high school. For a project, I have to find different physical and chemical properties of different silicones such as polydimethylsiloxane, polymethylphenysiloxane, and polydiphenysiloxane. Where could I find this information?

Thanks,

John

You should also take a trip to your local university library.  There are a lot of specialty books written about strange chemicals, including siloxanes.  IIRC, silly putty is an organic-silicon polymer.  Take a look by title, by subject, and ask the people at the reference desk to help you out.
