Just got a question I am having a little trouble with:
The vapor pressure of pure water at 110*C is 1070 torr. A solution of ethylene glycol and water has a vapor pressure of 1.00 atm at 110*C.  Assuming that Raoults law is obeyed, what is the mole fraction of ethyleneglycol in this solution?
I understand that this seems really easy but I ant seem to get my head around it.  I could work it out if I had the amounts of the substances but just having the pressure has confused me.  ???

First, start by writing out Raoult's law then plugging in the values that are given to you.

jus write down raoults law and substitute values for initial pressure and pressure after adding ethylene glycol.. u dont need aamount of substances for this cos the question is askin only about the mole fraction.. for help...
the answer will be 0.289
