Title: 1-methylallyl cation hyperconjugation
Post by: orgo814 on February 27, 2016, 04:38:34 PM
In 1-methylallylcation, I understand how there can be C-H hyperconjugation (the C-H hybrid orbital can have pi like symmetry with the P orbitals of allyl and therefore can form an extended conjugate system. But my book said that C-C hyperconjugation can occur too. How could this happen? I'm a bit confused. Thanks for any clarification
