Title: Organic Chemistry
Post by: Faded-Maximus on December 21, 2006, 05:48:39 PM
I was wodering if anybody here could tell me the boiling point, melting point and the solubility in water of the following organic compounds?

1-methoxyheptane (methylheptal ether)
heptanamide (enanthmide)

Thanks.

1-methoxymethane = methylheptyl ether, not heptal.  this company  (http://www.wychem.co.uk/) makes it so if you'd mail them meybe they will let you know. It has no CAS number so I cannot see it for myself.

heptanamide (http://www.orgsyn.org/orgsyn/prep.asp?prep=cv4p0513)
But since I am not one fo the authors or experimentalists (I just did a quick google search) I cannot vouch for the result they got
