I am working on a problem trying to determine the Net Ionic Equation after predicting precipitate. I understand the process to do this, but I am struggling with the initial Balancing of the equation. I'm going in circles on this. Can somebody help? The actual problem is, "Predict the Precipitate produced by mixing an AL(NO3)3 solution with a NaOH solution. Write the Net Ionic Equation for the reaction" but like I said, I am just stuck on the first part in balancing the molecular equation.
I wrote the molecular equation as follows:
Al(NO3)3 (aq) + NaOH (aq) --> Na3(NO3)(s) + Al(OH)3 (aq)
Now how to balance the equation from here?
