Title: Selenic acid concentration 40 wt. % in H2O
Post by: sriperg on January 26, 2014, 07:54:34 AM
Hi, I am a new member of chemicalforums.com.
I really like the topics and the whole web site. I would like to ask a question.

I was looking for some chemicals via sigma-aldrich, selenic acid actually. It is sold by bottles. I am a little confused about the concentration of it. My question is what does it mean by saying that concentration:  40 wt. % in H2O ?  Does it say 40 percent of total weight is pure (%99.95) selenic acid?
Thank you in advance,
Olgun

It is weight percentage. It means 40 g in 100 g solution.
