Polyester stable in dimethylformamide (DMF) and acetone?
« on: September 01, 2010, 06:32:26 AM »
Hi guys,

i need help in determining if polyester, specifically polyester fabrics will be stable in dimethylformamide (DMF) and acetone at a temperature of 135degC?

Another question would be if i have a stainless steel knitted mesh and require it to be submitted to the same process, ie. dimethylformamide (DMF) and acetone at temperature of 135degC is it also safe to assume that the stainless steel yarns would be stable ie. will come out fine?

Thanks in advance.

You could try it and see what happens.
