2Mn0₄^- + 5H₂C₂O₄ + 6H⁺  :rarrow: 2Mn⁺² + 10CO₂ + 8H₂0


Reactants: 2Mn0₄^- + 5H₂C₂O₄ + 6H⁺

Products: 2Mn⁺² + 10CO₂ + 8H₂0

Which molecule is the catalyst in the products? Mn⁺² or CO₂, and why?

Mn²⁺, but reasons are buried in the reaction mechanism.
