Title: Acid and base equilibriums
Post by: Taylorb on January 14, 2024, 12:51:44 PM
I have a question that I cannot solve for the life of me. It is, Caproic acid is found in coconut oil and is used in the making of artificial flavours. A solution is prepared by dissolving 0.14 mol of acid to from 1.50 L of solution. The hydronium acid concentration is 1.1x10^-3 mol/l. Calculate the Ka. Can anyone help?

First how is Ka defined.
If you know this which values you know already which one you have to calculate? If you get all of them will in for Ka
.
